Free ways to increase your website sales conversion rates
by Nick Busbee

A few free things that you can do if you have the freedom to write and edit the copy on your website. Especially if you have a small business.

1.We can always find a better way to identify with the reader, thru our copy. As you build your Web Site think about building your "Web Personality."

I strongly believe that if given the option people will buy from people, before they will buy from just a "website." Once you get past the security issues that concern people.)

2 See if you can find a better way to convey just how much you believe in your own product or service. And how confident you are that what you have to offer will enhance the lives of your "web guest."

Find a better way in your copy to challenge the reader, to picture their lives being better with your product or service. Challenge the reader to take ownership of the benefits of your product or service mentally.

3 If you have the option of reminding the reader that you use your own products or services, let em' hear about it. (And how happy you are to be able to finally share it with them.)

4 And finally see if you can find a better way to guarantee your offer. (If possible)

These are a few things that I think we can continually improve on DAILY. Same with your ads. (Although it's a lot more difficult with the character limitations)

There is always a better, more personal way to connect with your readers, from a human perspective.

Connecting with people has more to do with connecting to feelings rather than keywords. Your conversion rate may depend on your empathy and creativity connecting with feelings more than you suspect.

When was the last time a keyword turned you on enough to buy something?

Keywords don't sell products, services, or ideas. Keywords simply identify the above mentioned. I think we all know that most of us base a great deal of our purchasing decisions on how we feel.

So without going into detail on the wide range of things we may feel at the point of purchase, the important thing to keep in mind at all times is how would you FEEL if you were searching for your product or service.

How would you feel if you needed it badly? If you really didn't need it but could use it? If you were not sure about spending online? If you had been disappointed with a similar product? If you didn't believe in your abilities to comprehend your products or services?

How would you feel? Not what would you think. You can't consistently guess what people are thinking, but you can consistently empathize with how a person may feel.

Because we ALL have the same feelings! Just in different proportions! You simply become a thespian, an actor, an artist! Your "canvas", your "stage" will be your own feelings.

For any "feeling" scenario that you can think of, you can begin to tailor your copy to speak to those "feelings." keep trying different feelings, eventually you will find a dominant feeling or vibe from your website guest. What you will learn will be much more accurate than a poll.

See... A keyword will get a potential customer as far as your landing page. But after that, you're pretty much on your own.

When you build your "Web Site" remember to build your "Web Personality." As an old friend of mine once famously sang..."Nobody can be you,but You!" Nick Busbee Owner/Webmaster www.bestcoolwebsitetools.com Increasing conversion rates from a sales perspective.
